FOX is plotting a scripted holiday event series. Today, the broadcast network has given a series order to the original limited series A Moody Christmas based on the Australian comedy of the same name. The season will feature six episodes.
The single camera comedy will follow Dan Moody as he returns home to spend Christmas with his dysfunctional family. When he arrives, he's met with the inevitable madness of a family whose members are all hiding things from each other.
Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg and Tad Quill are writing the adaptation. They will executive produce with Trent O'Donnell, Phil Lloyd, Jason Burrows, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum. Jason Wang will co-executive produce. Fox Entertainment, CBS Television Studios, The Tannenbaum Company and Jungle Entertainment will produce.
