HBO Orders 8 Episodes of Drama 'Industry' from Lena Dunham

HBO has today given a series order to the original drama series Industry executive produced by Girls creator and star Lena Dunham, who will also direct. The first season will produce eight episodes.

Set in the world of international finance, the drama follows a group of young graduates competing for a limited set of permanent positions at a top investment bank in London - but the boundaries between colleague, friend, lover and enemy soon blur as they immerse themselves in a company culture defined as much by sex, drugs and ego as it is by deals and dividends. As members of the group rise and fall, they must decide whether life is about more than the bottom line.

Newcomers Konrad Kay and Mickey Down created the drama. They will executive produce with Dunham, Jane Tranter, Lachlan MacKinnon and Ryan Rasmussen. Bad Wolf produces in association with HBO.
