Casting News - Steven Pasquale to Co-Star on 'Filthy Rich'; 'Evil' Promotes Kurt Fuller to Series Regular; Plus 2 More Updates!

CBS' Evil; FOX's Filthy Rich; OWN's Cherish the Day; and Showtime's Kidding.





FOX's FILTHY RICH
  • Steven Pasquale has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming drama starring Kim Cattrall. He previously starred for seven seasons in FX's Rescue Me. He has also had recurring roles on CBS' The Good Wife, Netflix's Bloodline and FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. On Broadway, he recently starred in the play American Son opposite Kerry Washington, which will air as a special on Netflix later this year.
  • He will play Reverend Paul Luke Thomas, the beloved, popular, influential and ambitious minister at the Sunshine Network. The role was played by David Denman in the original pilot.
CBS' EVIL
  • Kurt Fuller has been promoted to series regular on the upcoming drama starring Katja Herbers and Mike Colter. He appeared as a guest star in the pilot. His casting reunites him with series creators Robert and Michelle King after he previously recurred on CBS' The Good Wife and its spinoff The Good Fight on CBS All Access.
  • He plays Dr. Boggs, Kristen's (Herbers) therapist and trusted colleague.
SHOWTIME's KIDDING
  • Eric Roberts and Mae Whitman will appear in the comedy's upcoming second season. Roberts received an Academy Award nomination for the 1985 film Runaway Train. He has recently recurred on USA's Suits, Syfy's Lost Girl and CBS' Code Black. Whitman currently stars in NBC's Good Girls, which returns for its third season in 2020. She previously starred for six seasons in NBC's Parenthood.
  • Roberts will play Bernard Paley, an executive at Amazon who's looking to make an acquisition and comes into contact with the Puppet Time team.
  • Whitman will play Chloe, an employee at a medical marijuana dispensary who likes to watch Puppet Time when she's high.
OWN's CHERISH THE DAY
  • Xosha Roquemore and Alano Miller will play the lead roles on the upcoming anthology drama created by Ava DuVernay and Tanya Hamilton. Roquemore previously starred for five seasons in the FOX/Hulu comedy The Mindy Project and had a recurring role on Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here. Miller starred for two seasons in WGN America's Underground and has recurred on AMC's Halt and Catch Fire and The CW's Jane the Virgin.
  • Roquemore will play Gently James. Miller will play Evan Fisher. In the first season, the couple meets and falls in love in Los Angeles, with the eight-episode season spanning five years of their relationship.
