Casting News - Lauren Graham Joins 'Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist'; 'Altered Carbon' Adds Lela Loren; Plus 3 More Updates!

The CW's Legacies & Roswell, New Mexico; FOX's A Moody Christmas; NBC's Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist; and Netflix's Altered Carbon.





THE CW's ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO
  • Justina Adorno has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. She currently stars in ABC's Grand Hotel, the future of which has not yet been determined.
  • She will play Steph, a witty, sharp-tongued, well-educated young woman who isn't afraid to express her opinions - even though they tend toward controversial in some circles. She never apologizes for being her entire self.
FOX's A MOODY CHRISTMAS
  • Chelsea Frei will co-star on the upcoming holiday event series starring Denis Leary and Elizabeth Perkins. She previously starred in YouTube Premium's one-season comedy Sideswiped.
  • She will play Bridget, the middle child, the overachiever, dry-witted and perceptive, even cynical. A married attorney, she prides herself on being the most put-together one of the kids, but at present is harboring a secret that could doom her seemingly perfect marriage.
NBC's ZOEY'S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST
  • Lauren Graham has joined the upcoming musical dramedy starring Jane Levy as a series regular. She previously starred for seven seasons in The WB's Gilmore Girls (as well as its limited series revival on Netflix) and six seasons in NBC's Parenthood.
  • She will play Joan, Zoey's (Levy) boss at a tech company. She replaces Carmen Cusack, who played the role in the original pilot.
NETFLIX's ALTERED CARBON
  • Lela Loren will appear as a series regular on the drama's upcoming second season starring Anthony Mackie. She previously starred for five seasons in Starz's Power - with her character's story coming to an end in the sixth and final season premiere (which aired this past Sunday).
  • She will play Danica Harlan, the charming and ambitious governor of the planet Harlan's World. She has the support of the people, but keeps an uneasy grip on the political players who surround her.
THE CW's LEGACIES
  • Bianca Kajlich and Leo Howard have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Kajlich previously starred for seven seasons in CBS' Rules of Engagement and three seasons in NBC's Undateable. Howard is currently recurring on CBS All Access' Why Women Kill
  • Kajlich will play Mac, the new sheriff in Mystic Falls. A single mother and career woman, she is the human line of defense in a town regularly besieged by monsters. Despite a troubled past, she's willing to open herself up to a new romance when the opportunity arises.
  • Howard will play Ethan, Sheriff Mac's son, a competitive athlete and good-hearted new student at Mystic Falls High School.
