USA has today announced the premieres dates for the upcoming second season of the original drama series The Purge and the debut of new original drama series Treadstone.
Both dramas will premiere on Tuesday, October 15 - with the second season of The Purge at 9/8c. and the first season of Treadstone at 10/9c.
The second season of anthology series The Purge explores how a single Purge night affects the lives of four interconnected characters over the course of the ensuing year, all inevitably leading up to the next Purge.
The new season stars Derek Luke, Max Martini, Paola Núñez, Joel Allen, Rochelle Aytes and Danika Yarosh.
The film franchise creator James DeMonaco also created the anthology series. He executive produces with showrunner Thomas Kelly, Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Sébastien K. Lemercier, Krystal Houghton Ziv, James Roland and Tim Andrew. Universal Content Productions, Blumhouse Television, Platinum Dunes and Man in a Tree Productions produce.
New drama Treadstone is an action-packed thriller set amidst the CIA black ops program Operation Treadstone. The series explores the origin story and present-day actions of the infamous covert program that uses behavior modification protocol to turn recruits into nearly superhuman assassins. The first season follows sleeper agents across the globe as they're mysteriously "awakened" to resume their deadly missions.
The drama stars Jeremy Irvine, Brian J. Smith, Omar Metwally, Tracy Ifeachor, Hyo-Joo Han, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Emilia Schüle, Michelle Forbes, Patrick Fugit, Michael Gaston, Tess Haubrich and Shruti Haasan.
Tim Kring created the drama. He executive produces with Ben Smith, Jeffrey Weiner, Justin Levy, Bradley Thomas, Dan Friedkin and director Ramin Bahrani. Universal Content Productions, Imperative Entertainment and Captivate Entertainment produce.
