Casting News - October 10, 2019

AppleTV+'s Lisey's Story; The CW's Black Lightning; Freeform's The Bold Type; and HBO Max's The Flight Attendant.

HBO MAX's THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT
  • Colin Woodell has been cast on the upcoming drama starring Kaley Cuoco. He previously starred in the first season of USA's The Purge. He has also recurred on Lifetime's Devious Maids, The CW's The Originals and Showtime's Masters of Sex.
  • He will play Buckley, an out of work actor and whisky connoisseur, whose boozy charm and go with the flow attitude is very attractive to Cassie (Cuoco).
THE CW's BLACK LIGHTNING
  • Wayne Brady has booked a major recurring role on the drama's third season. He has hosted CBS' Let's Make a Deal since 2009, winning two Daytime Emmy Awards for the series. He has also appeared in all fifteen seasons of Whose Line Is It Anyway? on both ABC and The CW.
  • He will play Tyson Spikes aka Gravedigger, a World War II-era member of the U.S. military who was transformed into a superhuman fighting machine through secret laboratory experiments. After the war, he refused to live in segregated America. Instead, he defected and took his battlefield gifts - enhanced strength and agility, tactical genius and hand-to-hand combat expertise - to Markovia. His aim to create a sovereign land for metahumans in the rogue nation of Markovia sets him on a collision course with the ASA and Black Lightning (Cress Williams).
FREEFORM's THE BOLD TYPE
  • Raven-Symoné has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth season. She starred for four seasons in Disney's That's So Raven and currently stars in its spinoff Raven's Home, which is now airing its third season. She has also recurred on FOX's Empire and ABC's Black-ish.
  • She will play Alice, a successful beauty influencer with millions of followers.
APPLE's LISEY'S STORY
  • Clive Owen will play the male lead opposite Julianne Moore in the upcoming limited series created by Stephen King. He received an Academy Award nomination for the 2004 film Closer. He also received an Emmy Award nomination for the HBO film Hemingway & Gellhorn. He recently starred for two season in Cinemax's The Knick.
  • He will play Scott Landon, Lisey's (Moore) husband.
