- Nat Faxon and Nicole Byer will co-star on the comedy pilot starring Jessica Rothe and Michael McKean. Faxon won an Academy Award for co-writing the screenplay for the 2011 film The Descendants. He also starred for two seasons in FX's Married and two seasons in Netflix's Friends From College. He currently voices a lead role in Netflix's Disenchantment. Byer starred for two seasons in the MTV/Facebook comedy Loosely Exactly Nicole. She now serves as the host of Netflix's Nailed It.
- Faxon will play Brian, Tom's (McKean) oldest, and angriest, child and the heir apparent to run the family business.
- Byer will play Cassie, the only person in town to welcome Delilah (Rothe), and treat her as a friend.
