FOX has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming holiday event series The Moodys starring Denis Leary and Elizabeth Perkins.
The six-episode season will premiere with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, December 4 at 9/8c. The series will continue the follow week with back-to-back episodes on Monday, December 9 and Tuesday, December 10, also at 9/8c.
The comedic series follows a tight-knit, but slightly dysfunctional family of five, all of whom gather in their hometown of Chicago for the "perfect" holiday. From break-ups to arrests to sharing one bathroom, each family member is packing his/her own eccentricities and hiding secrets from the others.
In addition to Leary and Perkins, the series stars Jay Baruchel, François Arnaud, Chelsea Frei, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Josh Segarra, Kevin Bigley, Gerry Dee, Ulka Simone Mohanty and Megan Park.
Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg and Tad Quill created the series based on the Australian format. They executive produce with Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Trent O'Donnell, Phil Lloyd and Jason Burrows. Fox Entertainment, CBS Television Studios, The Tannenbaum Company and Jungleboys Entertainment produce.
