AppleTV+ has today given a series order to the original drama series Slow Horses starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour).
Based on the novel by Mick Herron, the drama follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 - Slough House.
Oldman will play Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies who ends up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes.
Will Smith (Veep, The Thick of It) developed the drama. He will executive produce with Graham Yost, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux and Douglas Urbanski. See-Saw Films produces.
