USA has today announced premiere dates for the upcoming third season of drama The Sinner as well as the series debut of new original drama Briarpatch.
Both shows will debut on Thursday, February 6 - with The Sinner airing at 9/8c. and Briarpatch following at 10/9c.
The 8-episode third season of The Sinner follows Detective Harry Ambrose as he begins a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester in upstate New York. He uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career.
The new season stars Bill Pullman, Matt Bomer, Jessica Hecht, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Eddie Martinez and Chris Messina.
Derek Simonds created the anthology drama. He executive produces with Jessica Biel, Michelle Purple, Charlie Gogolak, Willie Reale, Antonio Campos and Adam Bernstein. Universal Content Productions, Iron Ocean Productions and Zaftig Films produce.
New drama Briarpatch follows Allegra Dill, a no-nonsense professional who returns to her quirky hometown to solve her sister's murder. The season celebrates the genres represented by Ross Thomas' book - a stylish blend of crime and pulp fiction - while updating his sense of fun, danger and place for a new generation.
The drama stars Rosario Dawson, Jay R. Ferguson, Edi Gathegi, Brian Geraghty and Kim Dickens.
