OWN Sets Premiere Date for New Drama 'Cherish the Day' Starring Xosha Roquemore and Alano Miller

During its presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, OWN announced the premiere date for the upcoming original anthology drama Cherish the Day.






The 8-episode first season will launch with a two-night premiere on Tuesday, February 11 at 10/9c. and Wednesday, February 12 at 8/7c.

The anthology drama chronicles the stirring relationship of one couple, with each episode spanning a single day. The narrative will unfold to reveal significant moments in a relationship that compel us to hold true to the ones we love, from the extraordinary to the every day.

Xosha Roquemore (The Mindy Project) and Alano Miller (Underground) star in the first season as Gently James and Evan Fisher, respectively. The couple meet and fall in love in Los Angeles, with the full season spanning five years in eight episodes.

Cicely Tyson, Michael Beach, Anne-Marie Johnson and Kellee Stewart also star in the first season.

Ava DuVernay (Queen Sugar, When They See Us) created the anthology drama, with Tanya Hamilton serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Oprah Winfrey and Paul Garnes. Warner Horizon Scripted Television, Harpo Films and ARRAY Filmworks produce.
