'The Great,' 'Ramy' and 'Solar Opposites' Receive Premiere Dates on Hulu

During its presentation at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, Hulu announced premiere dates for the second season of comedy Ramy as well as the series debuts of comedy The Great and animated comedy Solar Opposites.

The 8-episode first season of animated comedy Solar Opposites will be available on Friday, May 8. The comedy has already been renewed for a second season. 

The animated comedy centers around a family of aliens from a better world who must take refuge in middle America. They disagree on whether Earth is awful or awesome.

The voice cast includes Justin Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone and Mary Mack.

Roiland co-created the series with Mike McMahan. They executive produce with Josh Bycel. 20th Century Fox Television produce.

The 10-episode first season of comedy The Great will be available on Friday, May 15.

The comedy chronicles the genre-bending, anti-historical ride through 18th Century Russia and follows the wildly comedic rise of Catherine the Nothing to Catherine the Great.

Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult, Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge and Sacha Shawan star.

Tony McNamara (The Favourite) created the series. He executive produces with Fanning, Marian Macgowan, Josh Kesselman, Ron West, Brittany Kahan Ward, Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding, Mark Winemaker and Matt Shakman. Media Rights Capital, Echo Lake Entertainment and Thruline Entertainment produce.

The 10-episode second season of comedy Ramy will be available on Friday, May 29.

The comedy stars Ramy Youssef, Mohammed Amer, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Dave Merheje, Laith Nakli and Steve Way, with special guest star Mahershala Ali.

Youssef co-created the comedy with Ari Katcher and Ryan Welch. They executive produce with Jerrod Carmichael. A24 produces.
