Netflix Announces Premiere Date for New Drama 'The English Game' Created by Julian Fellowes

Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series The English Game created by Downton Abbey's Julian Fellowes.






All six episodes will be available on Friday, March 20.

The series details the invention of modern soccer from a rudimentary game that grew across class lines into the world's most popular sport with 240 million active players around the world.

The cast features Edward Holcroft, Kevin Guthrie, Charlotte Hope, Craig Parkinson, James Harkness, Niamh Walsh, Gerard Kearns, Joncie Elmore, Sam Keeley, Daniel Ings, Kate Dickie, Henry Lloyd Hughes, Kate Phillips, Ben Batt, Sylvestra Le Touzel, Harry Michell and Anthony Andrews.

Fellowes executive produces with Rory Aitken, Eleanor Moran, Ben Pugh, Rhonda Smith and directors Birgitte Stærmose and Tim Fywell. 42 Productions produces.
