Casting News - AnnaSophia Robb and Chris Sullivan Join 'Dr. Death; Chris Bauer to Co-Star on 'Heels'; Plus 1 More Update!

HBO Max's Gossip Girl; Peacock's Dr. Death; and Starz's Heels.






STARZ's HEELS
  • Chris Bauer, Allen Maldonado and James Harrison will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig. Bauer starred for four seasons in Starz's Survivor's Remorse, which was created by Heels showrunner Mike O'Malley. Maldonado currently stars in TBS' The Last O.G., which returns for its third season in April. Harrison is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • Bauer will play Wild Bill Hancock, a larger-than-life former wrestling star who is now a high-level pro wrestling scout.
  • Maldonado will play Rooster Robbins, one of the best wrestlers in the circuit who always has something to prove, and always backs it up.
  • Harrison will play Apocalypse, a been-around-the-block journeyman wrestler who's been at it for decades and has no illusions of fame or glory.
HBO MAX's GOSSIP GIRL
  • Tavi Gevinson, Thomas Doherty, Adam Chanler-Berat and Zion Moreno have joined the cast of the upcoming drama reboot starring Emily Alyn Lind. Gevinson's guest credits include NBC's Parenthood and FOX's Scream Queens. Doherty has recurred on The CW's Legacies and Hulu's High Fidelity. Chanler-Berat's Broadway credits include Next to Normal, Peter and the Starcatcher and Amélie. Moreno has guest starred on TNT's Claws.
  • No details were immediately released about the characters they will be playing.
PEACOCK's DR. DEATH
  • AnnaSophia Robb and Chris Sullivan have been cast as series regulars on the upcoming limited series starring Jamie Dornan, Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater. Robb recently starred in the Hulu limited series The Act. Sullivan currently stars in NBC's This Is Us, which is airing its fourth season and has already been renewed for two more seasons.
  • Robb will play Michelle Shughart, a bright, young Assistant District Attorney in Dallas who teams up with Robert Henderson (Baldwin) and Randall Kirby (Slater) to take down "Dr. Death."
  • Sullivan will play Jerry Summers, Christopher Duntsch's (Dornan) life-long friend and number one fan whose blind devotion lands him under Duntsch's knife.
