HBO Max Gives Series Orders to Dramas 'Duster,' 'Overlook' and 'Justice League Dark' from J.J. Abrams

HBO Max has today given series orders to three original drama series from executive producer J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) - Duster, Overlook and Justice League Dark.

Set in the 1970s Southwest, Duster follows the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate that goes from awful to wildly, stupidly, dangerously awful.

Abrams co-created the drama with LaToya Morgan (The Walking Dead, Into the Badlands).

Inspired by and featuring iconic characters from Stephen King's The Shining, Overlook explores the untold, terrifying stories of the most famous haunted hotel in American fiction.

Justice League Dark will be based on the DC Comics characters from the "Justice League Dark Universe," with major details being kept under wraps.

All three dramas will be executive produced by Abrams and Ben Stephenson, with Rachel Rusch Rich as a co-executive producer. Warner Bros. Television and Bad Robots Productions will produce all three dramas.
