Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series Warrior Nun starring Alba Baptista.
All 10 episodes will be available on Thursday, July 2.
Inspired by the Manga novels, the drama revolves a 19-year-old woman (Baptista) who wakes up in a morgue with a new lease on life and a divine artifact embedded in her back. She discovers she is now part of an ancient order that has been tasked with fighting demons on Earth, and powerful forces representing both heaven and hell want to find and control her.
The drama also stars Tristán Ulloa, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Lorena Andrea, Toya Turner, Thekla Reuten, Sylvia De Fanti, Emilio Sakraya, Olivia Delcán, Joaquim De Almeida, May Simón Lifschitz, Dimitri Abold and Charlotte Vega.
Simon Barry developed the drama. He executive produces with Jet Wilkinson and Stephen Hegyes. IDW Entertainment produces.
