Amazon Boards BBC Limited Series 'The Pursuit of Love' from Emily Mortimer

Amazon has today signed on to co-produce the upcoming BBC limited series The Pursuit of Love developed by Emily Mortimer based on the novel by Nancy Mitford. The three-part series will begin production in the U.K. shortly.

Set between the two world wars, the romantic dramedy follows the adventures and misadventures of Linda Radlett and her best friend and cousin, Fanny Logan.

The cast includes Lily James, Emily Beecham, Dominic West, Dolly Wells, Emily Mortimer, Andrew Scott, Beattie Edmondson, Assaad Bouab, Shazad Latif and Freddie Fox.

Mortimer is writing and directing the series. She will executive produce with Charles Collier, Matthew Read and Frith Tiplady. Open Book and Moonage Pictures will produce.

"I've always loved Nancy Mitford so when I was asked to adapt The Pursuit of Love it was impossible to say no," said Mortimer. "It's an outrageously funny and honest story, whose central character - the wild, love-addicted Linda Radlett - still reads as a radical. I feel privileged to be directing this show and working with the brilliant teams at Open Book, Moonage Pictures, Amazon Studios and the BBC."
