AppleTV+ has today given a series order to the original drama series Shining Girls starring Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale, Mad Men).
Based on the novel by Lauren Beukes, a Depression-era drifter must murder the "shining girls" in order to continue his travels.
Moss will star as a Chicago reporter who survived a brutal assault only to find her reality shifting as she hunts down her attacker.
Silka Luisa (Strange Angel) developed the drama. She will executive produce with Moss, Beukes, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lindsey McManus, Jennifer Davisson and Alan Page Arriaga. MRC Television, Appian Way Productions and Love & Squalor Pictures will produce.
