'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' Receives New Premiere Date on AMC

During its panel for Comic-Con at Home, AMC has today announced the new premiere date for the upcoming original drama series The Walking Dead: World Beyond - the third series in the Walking Dead franchise at the network.






The 6-episode first season will premiere on Sunday, October 4 at 10/9c. - following the delayed Season 10 finale of the mothership series.

The drama follows the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other.

The cast includes Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Hal Cumpston, Nicolas Cantu, Joe Holt, Nico Tortorella, Annet Mahendru and Julia Ormond.

Matt Negrete and Scott M. Gimple created the drama. They executive produce with director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. AMC Studios produces.

The drama was originally scheduled to premiere this past spring. While production had been completed on the first season, post-production was delayed due to the entertainment industry shutdown as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
