Amazon's Jack Reacher and CBS' Mom.

CBS' MOM
  • Anna Faris will not be returning to the comedy for its upcoming eighth season. She has starred as the co-lead opposite Allison Janney for all seven previous seasons. The writers have already been crafting the new season without her character, Christy, ahead of the production start date later this month in Los Angeles.
  • Faris released the following statement: "The past seven years on Mom have been some of the most fulfilling and rewarding of my career. I'm so thankful to Chuck [Lorre], the writers, and my amazing castmates for creating a truly wonderful work experience. While my journey as Christy has come to an end, allowing me to pursue new opportunities, I'll be watching next season and rooting for my TV family."
  • CBS, Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions made this joint statement: "From the inception of Mom, Anna was the first and only choice for the role of Christy. We are so proud of the stories we have been able to tell during Anna's seven years with us. We wish Anna all the best, and we thank her for her beautiful portrayal."
AMAZON's JACK REACHER
  • Alan Ritchson will play the title role in the upcoming drama based on the popular novel series. He currently stars in DC Universe's Titans, which has been renewed for a third season. He previously starred in Syfy's one-season drama Blood Drive. He also starred in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise.
  • He will play Jack Reacher, an imposing, 6'5"-tall, 210-250lb. U.S. Army veteran investigating suspicious activities that frequently put him in danger.
