Starz has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series Power Book II: Ghost - its first spinoff of the hit drama Power, which concluded its run earlier this year.
The first season will premiere on Sunday, September 6 at 8/7c.
Set days after the conclusion of Power, teen drug dealer Tariq must face not only the repercussions of his past, but must do so while adjusting to a new college environment. The freshman must figure out how to pursue his education while plotting ways to free his mother from jail. Even in a new environment, Tariq's past continues to follow him as drug boss Monet Stewart finds new clientele in college students.
The drama stars Michael Rainey Jr., Naturi Naughton, Shane Johnson, Gianni Paolo, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Daniel Bellomy, Paige Hurd, Woody McClain, Melanie Liburd, Justin Marcel McManus, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tonodeo, with Mary J. Blige and Clifford "Method Man" Smith.
Courtney Kemp created the drama. She executive produces with Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Mark Canton, Chris Selak, Danielle DeJesus, Shana Stein and Bart Wenrich. Lionsgate Television, End of Episode and G-Unit Film & Television produce.
