HBO Unveils New Premiere Date for Limited Series 'The Undoing' Starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant

HBO has today announced the new premiere date for the upcoming original limited series The Undoing starring Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies) and Hugh Grant (A Very English Scandal).

The six-part limited series will now premiere on Sunday, October 25 at 9/8c. It was originally slated to debut in May 2020 but was delayed so HBO could program for the remainder of 2020 despite the production shutdown as a result of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The series follow Grace (Kidman) and Jonathan Fraser (Grant), who are living the only lives they ever wanted for themselves. Overnight a chasm opens in their lives: a violent death and a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and her family.

In addition to Kidman and Grant, the cast includes Edgar Ramirez, Noah Jupe, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Matilda De Angelis, Lily Rabe, Noma Dumezweni, Sofie Gråbøl and Donald Sutherland.

David E. Kelley developed the series based on the novel You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz. He executive produces with Kidman, Per Saari, Bruna Papandrea, Stephen Garrett, Celia Costas and director Susanne Bier. David E. Kelley Productions, Blossom Films and Made Up Stories produce.
