Showtime Renews 'The Chi' for Season 4

Showtime has renewed its original drama series The Chi for a fourth season, it was announced today. The drama will return with new episodes in 2021.








The drama stars Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Michael Epps, Shamon Brown, Yolonda Ross and Birgundi Baker.

Lena Waithe created the drama, with Justin Hillian returning as showrunner for the fourth season. They executive produce with Common, Aaron Kaplan, Derek Dudley, Shelby Stone, Jet Wilkinson and Rick Famuyiwa. Touchstone Television, Kapital Entertainment and Freedom Road Productions produce.

"Lena Waithe together with Justin Hillian explore the joys and the heartbreak of life on the South Side in a way that is unique on television, and we relish the prospect of continuing that exploration with them."
