Amazon Orders 8 Episodes of Drama 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' from Jenny Han and Gabrielle Stanton

Amazon has today given a series order to the original drama series The Summer I Turned Pretty based on the novel by Jenny Han. The first season will produce 8 episodes.






The drama follows a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.

Han created the series with Gabrielle Stanton (Haven, The Flash). They will executive produce with Paul Lee, Karen Rosenfelt, Nne Ebong and Hope Hartman. Amazon Studios and wiip will produce.
