'The 4400' Reboot Lands Series Order at The CW

The CW has today given a series order to the original drama series The 4400 - a reboot of the USA original drama that aired from 2004-07. The broadcast network opted to bypass a pilot order in favor of a straight-to-series order based on the strength of the script and pitch by the new creative team.

4400 overlooked, undervalued or otherwise marginalized people who vanished without a trace over the last hundred years are all returned in an instant, having not aged a day and with no memory of what happened to them. As the government races to analyze the potential threat and contain the story, the 4400 themselves must grapple with the fact that they've been returned with a few... upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were all brought back now for a specific reason.

Ariana Jackson (Riverdale, UnREAL) created the drama. She will executive produce with Anna Fricke and Laura Terry. CBS Studios will produce.

The original series was created by René Echevarria and Scott Peters. The cast included Joel Gretsch, Jacqueline McKenzie, Mahershala Ali, Laura Allen, Patrick Flueger, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Chad Faust, Kaj-Erik Eriksen, Samantha Ferris, Jenni Baird, Conchita Campbell, Karina Lombard, Billy Campbell and Peter Coyote.
