ABC's THE WONDER YEARS
  • Don Cheadle will serve as narrator on the comedy pilot starring Dulé Hill and Saycon Sengbloh. He was nominated for an Academy Award in 2005 for the film Hotel Rwanda. Over the last decade, he has received six Emmy Award nominations for his lead performances in the Showtime comedies House of Lies and Black Monday. Furthermore, he plays James Rhodes aka War Machine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - appearing in six feature films to date as well as the currently airing Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
  • He will play Adult Dean. Featured via narration as he reflects back on his younger self (Elisha "EJ" Williams) growing up in 1968. He also happens to be a new grandfather.
ABC's HARRITY ELEMENTARY
  • Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter and Sheryl Lee Ralph will co-star on the comedy pilot written by and starring Quinta Brunson. Williams starred for four seasons in Everybody Hates Chris and two seasons in CBS' Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. James has written and recurred on Showtime's Black Monday. Perfetti has recurred on HBO's Looking and The CW's In the Dark. Walter has guest starred on Netflix's GLOW, ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Disney's Sydney to the Max and FOX's 9-1-1. Ralph starred for five seasons in UPN's Moesha and three seasons in Nickelodeon's Instant Mom.
  • Williams will play Gregory, a substitute-turned-permanent teacher at the school.
  • James will play Ava, the school's spirited new principal.
  • Perfetti will play Jacob, a new, painfully liberal history teacher.
  • Walter will play Melissa, the tough longtime teacher at the school.
  • Ralph will play Barbara, a longtime and respected matriarch-like teacher.
