ABC's The Rookie & Women of the Movement; AppleTV+'s Acapulco; BET's Games People Play; Disney+'s Just Beyond; NBC's Good Girls & La Brea; Netflix's The Midnight Club; and Showtime's The First Lady.




NBC's LA BREA
  • Josh McKenzie and Chloe De Los Santos have been cast as series regulars on the upcoming drama starring Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jon Seda and Nicholas Gonzalez. McKenzie previously recurred on the Australian dramedy Five Bedrooms, which airs stateside on Peacock. De Los Santos stars in the upcoming Australian comedy Fam Time.
  • McKenzie will play Lucas. Sarcastic with an air of danger, he has gone down a road of crime and works as a drug dealer. He is on a much different path than his police officer mother, Marybeth.
  • De Los Santos will play Lilly. At 12-years-old, she is quiet and introverted. She's Veronica's (Lily Santiago) much younger sister and Aaron's other daughter.
DISNEY+'s JUST BEYOND
  • Mckenna Grace and Lexi Underwood will star in the upcoming anthology series created by Seth Grahame-Smith. Furthermore, Nasim Pedrad will guest star in the series. Grace previously recurred on ABC's Designated Survivor, Netflix's Fuller House and CBS' Young Sheldon. Underwood starred in the Hulu limited series Little Fires Everywhere. Pedrad stars in and created the TBS comedy Chad.
  • No details were immediately announced about the characters they will be playing.
NETFLIX's THE MIDNIGHT CLUB
  • Iman Benson, Larsen Thompson, William B. Davis, Crystal Balint and Patricia Drake have joined the cast of the upcoming drama created by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong. Benson currently stars in Netflix's #BlackAF, which has been renewed for a second season. Thompson is a professional dancer who has appeared in music videos for P!nk and Sia. Davis appeared in ten seasons of FOX's The X-Files. Balint stars in Netflix's upcoming drama Midnight Mass. Drake has guest starred on The CW's Supernatural and AppleTV+'s See.

ABC's WOMEN OF THE MOVEMENT
  • Leslie Silva, Chris Butler, Alex Désert, Miles Fowler, Tongayi Chirisa, Jason Turner and Daniel Abeles have booked recurring roles on the upcoming limited series starring Adrienne Warren. Silva has previously recurred on NBC's Shades of Blue and The CW's In the Dark. Butler has recurred on CBS' The Good Wife and ABC's Designated Survivor. Désert starred for six seasons in CBS' Becker. Fowler is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts. Chirisa stars in the upcoming second season of Netflix's Another Life. Turner has recurred on The CW's Legacies and BET+'s Bigger. Abeles has recurred on NBC's Smash and CBS' The Good Wife.
  • Silva will play Ruby Hurley, a famed NAACP activist and leader in the Civil Rights Movement. A lady badass among men, she was fiercely committed to getting justice for Emmett Till (Cedric Joe).
  • Butler will play Rayfield Mooty, Mamie Till-Mobley's (Warren) second cousin and a Chicago Labor Union Leader. He was instrumental in getting the NAACP involved in the Emmett Till murder investigation.
  • Désert will play Dr. Theodore Roosevelt Mason Howard, an American civil rights activist, surgeon, brilliant maverick, and one of the most influential Black leaders in Mississippi. Actively involved in the Emmett Till murder investigation and trial, he turned his home into command central for Mamie's entourage and Black journalists who were desperately searching for evidence to get justice for her son.
  • Fowler will play Simeon Booker, a celebrated Black journalist with Jet Magazine, vowed to make ensure the killing of Emmett Till remained in the headlines. Sympathetic, brilliant and a man of his word, his coverage of Emmett Till helped redefine both the publication and the Civil Rights Movement.
  • Chirisa will play Medgar Evers, the beloved NAACP field secretary who was one of Mississippi's most prominent civil rights activists. Committed to bring Emmett's killers to justice, he risked his life to find key evidence during the murder trial.
  • Turner will play James Hicks, one of Black journalism's most prominent reporters, whose investigative work played a huge role in the Emmett Till murder trial.
  • Abeles will play Chet Packton, a southern gentleman and journalist who unexpectedly becomes part of the Emmett Till murder investigation.
BET's GAMES PEOPLE PLAY
  • Brandi Denise is set as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming second season. Additionally, Cynthia Bailey, Nazanin Mandi, Ro Parrish, Hitman Holla, Leon and Calvin Seabrooks have been cast in recurring roles. Denise has previously recurred on Starz's Power and its spinoff Power Book II: Ghost. Bailey has starred for eleven seasons in Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Mandi has guest starred on BET's Twenties. Parrish is a former wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills. Holla has recurred on VH1's Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'n Out. Leon is currently recurring on Showtime's City on a Hill. Seabrooks has guest starred on Hulu's Dollface and HBO's Westworld.
  • Denise will play Quanisha, Kareem's (Jackie Long) longtime ride or die girlfriend who becomes his fiancé.
  • Bailey will play Ndasia, an indy-documentarian who is currently working on an in-depth exposé on The Foundation.
  • Mandi will play Zara, the wife of new Viper player Tyreck (Norman Towns).
  • Parrish will play himself, a Vipers' NBA commentator.
  • Holla will play Rome, the new cocky point guard traded to the Vipers with hopes of bringing them the championship win. He sets his sights on Laila (Parker McKenna Posey)
  • Leon will play Walter, Marquis' (Kendall Kyndall) father.
  • Seabrooks will play Andre, a successful ex from Marquis' past with ties to The Foundation.
SHOWTIME's THE FIRST LADY
  • Regina Taylor will co-star on the upcoming anthology drama series starring Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson. Moreover, Saniyya Sidney, Julian DeNiro and Evan Parke will recur on the series. Taylor previously starred for two seasons in NBC's I'll Fly Away and four seasons in CBS' The Unit. Sidney starred in FOX's one-season drama The Passage. DeNiro will be making his acting debut with the series. Parke has recurred on NBC's The Blacklist and CBS All Access' Tell Me a Story.
  • Taylor will play Marian Shields Robinson, Michelle Obama's (Davis) mother and Barack Obama's (O-T Fagbenle) mother-in-law. She is a practical, forthright and honest member of the Obama family who encourages her children and grandchildren to behave honestly and remain grounded, even while living in the White House.
  • Sidney will play Sasha Obama, Michelle and Barack Obama's youngest daughter. Her pure spirit and empathy for children everywhere inspires her parents to stay focused on American youth.
  • DeNiro will play a young Barack Obama during his early adult years as an emerging politician and passionate community organizer in Chicago. While there and working as a summer law intern for Sidley and Austin, he met and married Michelle Robinson (Jayme Lawson).
  • Parke will play Allen Taylor, Michelle Obama's first and longtime security agent who became such a close friend that she often refers to him as being like a brother to her.
ABC's THE ROOKIE
  • Jason Canela has landed a recurring role on the drama's third season. He previously starred for three years in CBS' The Young and the Restless.
  • He will play Cesar Madrigal, the son of criminal royalty who is impetuous, entitled and in line to take over his father's empire.
NBC's GOOD GIRLS
  • Jordan Belfi will appear in a recurring role on the drama's fourth season. He has previously recurred on HBO's Entourage, NBC's Chicago Fire, FOX's 9-1-1 and The CW's All American.
  • He will play Z, who is part of the multi-level marketing group Dean (Matthew Lillard) gets involved with to help him find a way out of his dire situation with Beth (Christina Hendricks).
APPLE TV+'s ACAPULCO
  • Jessica Collins, Chord Overstreet, Vanessa Bauche, Rafael Cebrián, Fernando Carsa and Regina Reynoso have joined the cast of the upcoming comedy starring Eugenio Derbez and Enrique Arrizon. Collins stars in Netflix's upcoming drama Clickbait. Overstreet previously starred for five seasons in FOX's Glee. Bauche has starred in the Mexican telenovelas La doble vida de Estela Carrillo and La jefa del campeón. Cebrián starred for two seasons in Netflix's Greenhouse Academy. Carsa is a relative newcomer. Reynoso has recurred on the telenovela La rosa de Guadalupe.
  • Collins will play Diane, the CEO and the face of the resort.
  • Overstreet will play Chad, Diane's son. Together, Diane and Chad expect nothing short of perfection for their resort guests.
  • Bauche will play Nora, Maximo's (Arrizon) mother.
  • Cebrián will play Hector, an energetic poolside employee at the resort.
  • Carsa will play Memo, Maximo's loyal and supportive best friend.
  • Reynoso will play Sara, Maximo's outspoken younger sister.
