Casting News - Vincent Kartheiser to Play Scarecrow on 'Titans'; Taylor Schilling Joins 'Pam & Tommy'; Plus 4 More Updates!

Casting News - April 28, 2021

Amazon's The Power & The Summer I Turned Pretty; AMC's The Walking Dead; HBO's The Time Traveler's Wife; HBO Max's Titans; and Hulu's Pam & Tommy.

HBO's THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE
  • Desmin Borges and Natasha Lopez will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Rose Leslie and Theo James. Borges previously starred for five seasons in FXX's You're the Worst and in Amazon's one-season drama Utopia. Lopez previously guest starred on NBC's Law & Order: SVU.
  • Borges will play Gomez, one of Clare's (Leslie) best friends who is secretly in love with her. Gomez being Gomez, it's a secret he's managed to keep from absolutely no one. Truculent, clever, with an often blundering sense of humor, he is also fiercely honorable. Over the years, despite everything, he becomes Henry's (James) best friend, and his savior many times.
  • Lopez will play Charisse, Clare's closest confidante and her roommate. No nonsense, no filter and a little neurotic, she is also Gomez's long-suffering girlfriend. When the mysterious Henry arrives on the scene, Charisse is determined to get to the bottom of who he really is. And when Charisse wants to know something, the questions don't stop.
HULU's PAM & TOMMY
  • Taylor Schilling has joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Lily James and Sebastian Stan. Moreover, Spenser Granese and Mozhan Marnò have been cast in recurring roles. Schilling previously starred for seven seasons in Netflix's Orange Is the New Black and next stars in Spectrum's upcoming drama The Bite. Granese has recurred on AMC's Better Call Saul and FX's Mayans MC. Marnò starred for five seasons in NBC's The Blacklist.
  • Schilling will play Erica, Rand's (Seth Rogen) wife - at least on paper. She is a porn star on her own terms, with emotional and intellectual intelligence that Rand cannot quite fathom. Although she's moved on long ago, she still holds a place in her life for Rand... as long as he behaves.
  • Granese will play Steve Fasanella, a mulleted, low-IQ individual who works for Uncle Miltie (Nick Offerman) at Ingley Studios. In his loose morals and underachieving, he's not unlike Rand himself, minus the unreasonable goals.
  • Marnò will play Gail Chwatsky, an absolute powerhouse of a publicist. She knows what it'll take to elevate Pamela Anderson's (James) career. Although she's strictly business, there's a side to Gail that genuinely cares for Pamela's well-being.
AMAZON's THE POWER
  • Ana Ularu has landed a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Leslie Mann and Tim Robbins. She recently starred in the German drama Tribes of Europa on Netflix. She also stars in IMDb TV's Alex Rider, which has been renewed for a second season.
  • She will play Zoia, Tatiana's (Zrinka Cvitesic) sister.
AMC's THE WALKING DEAD
  • Jacob Young has booked a key role on the drama's upcoming eleventh and final season. He previously appeared in 147 episodes of ABC's General Hospital, 840 episodes of ABC's All My Children and 984 episodes of CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful.
  • He will play Deaver. No additional details were immediately announced about the character.
HBO MAX's TITANS
  • Vincent Kartheiser is set for a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. He previously starred for seven seasons in AMC's Mad Men. He has also recurred on Hulu's Casual, National Geographic's Genius: Einstein, Hulu's The Path, Netflix's The OA and NBC's Law & Order: SVU.
  • He will play Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow, an inmate at Arkham Asylum who used to terrorize Gotham City using toxins to exploit his enemies' phobias.
AMAZON's THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY
  • Lola Tung, Rachel Blanchard, Jackie Chung and Christopher Briney will star in the upcoming drama created by Jenny Han and Gabrielle Stanton. Tung is a graduate of La Guardia High School of The Performing Arts in New York City. Blanchard previously starred for five seasons in Audience Network's You Me Her. Chung has guest starred on Hulu's Deadbeat and ABC's Station 19. Briney stars in the upcoming film Dali Land.
  • Tung will play Belly, who used to be gawky and awkward, but this summer she turns 16 and she is starting to turn heads - and its taking some getting used to. Conrad Fisher, the boy she's loved forever, the boy who never even looked in her direction, is paying attention to her. It's exhilarating to suddenly be an object of desire... but it's also scary.
  • Blanchard will play Susannah, Laurel's best friend. Warm-hearted and free-spirited, she hosts the two families every summer in her luxurious beach town home.
  • Chung will play Laurel, Belly's mother, a novelist with a wry sense of humor and an aversion to technology. Since her divorce a year ago, Laurel has been stressed and unfocused, which is affecting her writing for he first time in her career.
  • Briney will play Conrad Fisher, a straight-A student and star athlete. He has always been responsible and serious - and the boy Belly has yearned for her whole life. But now, he has become moody and distant - something has changed in him, but he's not saying what.
