Disney+ Cancels 'The Right Stuff' After One Season

Disney+ has today announced the cancellation of the original drama series The Right Stuff after one season. The drama based on the novel by Tom Wolfe ended its 8-episode run on November 20, 2020.






The drama starred Patrick J. Adams, Jake McDorman, Colin O'Donoghue, James Lafferty, Aaron Staton, Michael Trotter, Micah Stock, Eric Ladin, Patrick Fischler, Nora Zehetner, Eloise Mumford, Jackson Pace and Shannon Lucio.

Mark Lafferty developed the series. He executive produced with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, Will Staples, Howard Korder, Lizzie Mickery and Danny Strong. Warner Bros. Television and Appian Way Productions produce.

Warner Bros. is said to be shopping the series to other outlets following the cancellation. The marketplace has some interest in a second season. The current cast is only under contract for another two weeks though. This interest doesn't signal that a deal with come together for more seasons either. The effort is still being made by the production company.
