FOX Gives Series Order to Drama 'The Big Leap' Starring Scott Foley, Teri Polo and Piper Perabo

After several delays in filming the pilot due to the ongoing pandemic, FOX has today given a series order to the original drama series The Big Leap starring Scott Foley (Scandal), Teri Polo (The Fosters) and Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs). The first season will produce 10 episodes.

The drama is a modern tale about second chances, chasing your dreams and taking back what's yours. The show revolves around a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters attempting to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of Swan Lake. What this group of underdogs lack in dance training, they make up for with their edge, wit and desire to reimagine an iconic story to fit their own mold.

In addition to Foley, Polo and Perabo, the drama stars Simone Recasner, Ser'Darius Blain, Raymond Cham Jr., Jon Rudnitsky, Kevin Daniels and Mallory Jansen.

Liz Heldens wrote the pilot, which was directed by Jason Winer. They will executive produce with Sue Naegle. 20th Television and Fox Entertainment will produce.
