FOX Renews '9-1-1,' '9-1-1: Lone Star,' 'The Great North' and 'The Resident'

FOX has today announced renewals for four of its original scripted series - 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Resident and The Great North. The dramas join the network's upcoming 2021-22 broadcast schedule while the renewal expands the future for the animated comedy.





9-1-1 stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Rockmond Dunbar, Ryan Guzman, Corine Massiah, Marcanthonee Jon Reis, Gavin McHugh and John Harlan Kim.

Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear created the drama. They executive produce with Bassett, Krause, Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray, Kristen Reidel and director Bradley Buecker. 20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television, Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision and ReamWorks produce.

The renewal is for the drama's fifth season.

9-1-1: Lone Star stars Rob Lowe, Gina Torres, Ronen Rubintein, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva and Julian Works.

Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear created the drama. They executive produce with Lowe, Alexis Martin Woodall, Rashad Raisani, John J. Gray and director Bradley Bucker. 20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television, Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision and ReamWorks produce.

The renewal is for the drama's third season.

The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jessica Lucas, Jane Leeves and Morris Chestnut.

Wilson exited the cast of the drama during its fourth season. Meanwhile, Chestnut will only return for the new season as a recurring guest star after he booked a lead role on FOX's upcoming drama Our Kind of People from executive producer Lee Daniels.

Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi created the drama. Jones produces with Todd Harthan, Andrew Chapman, Peter Elkoff, Rob Corn, Antoine Fuqua, Oly Obst and Marc Halsey. 20th Television, 3 Arts Entertainment and Fuqua Films produce.

The renewal is for the drama's fifth season.

The Great North stars Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, Will Forte, Dulcé Sloan, Paul Rust, Aparna Nancherla, Megan Mullally and Alanis Morissette.

Wendy Molyneux, Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Minty Lewis created the comedy. They executive produce with Loren Bouchard. 20th Television, Fox Entertainment, Bento Box Entertainment, Wilo Productions and Double Molyneux Sister Sheux produce.

The comedy was previously renewed for its second season, which will air during the 2021-22 schedule. The renewal today is for the comedy's third season - effectively keeping the show on the air for years.
