Emmy Predictions 2021 - Who Will Likely Be Nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series?

From June 17-28, 2021, voting is taking place for The 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. As such, it's fun to look at which actors and shows have the best chances of actually being nominated this year. So, these are my predictions for who will be nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.





For Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, 56 actors were submitted for consideration. That will result in five nominees in this category when the nominations are announced on Tuesday, July 13.

  2. Rob McElhenney for AppleTV+'s Mythic Quest
  3. William H. Macy for Showtime's Shameless
  4. John Goodman for ABC's The Conners
  5. Topher Grace for ABC's Home Economics
  6. Ed Helms for Peacock's Rutherford Falls
  7. Mike Epps for Netflix's The Upshaws
  8. Lamorne Morris for Hulu's Woke
