Emmy Predictions 2021 - Who Will Likely Be Nominated for Lead Actor in a Drama Series?

From June 17-28, 2021, voting is taking place for The 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. As such, it's fun to look at which actors and shows have the best chances of actually being nominated this year. So, these are my predictions for who will be nominated for Lead Actor in a Drama Series.





For Lead Actor in a Drama Series, 104 actors were submitted for consideration. That will result in six nominees in this category when the nominations are announced on Tuesday, July 13.

  2. Joseph Fiennes for Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale
  3. Milo Ventimiglia for NBC's This Is Us
  4. Justin Theroux for AppleTV+'s The Mosquito Coast
  5. Joel Kinnaman for AppleTV+'s For All Mankind
  6. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan for Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
