HBO Max Renews 'Starstruck' for Season 2

The first season only debuted on the streaming service today but HBO Max has now renewed its original comedy series Starstruck created by and starring Rose Matafeo for a second season.

The comedy stars Matafeo, Nikesh Patel, Sindhu Vee, Emma Sidi, Minnie Driver and Russell Tovey.

Matafeo and Alice Snedden write the series, with Karen Maine directing. They executive produce with Jon Thoday, Richard Allen-Turner and Rob Aslett. Avalon Television produces.

"Rose is an exciting talent whose international stardom is on the rise," said Jeniffer Kim, Senior Vice President of International Originals, HBO Max. "Working with Rose and the team at Avalon has been amazing and so we had to keep it going. We can't wait for audiences to see this hilarious and quirky love story."

"I'm thrilled that Starstruck will be returning for a second season in the US on HBO Max," added Matafeo. "I hope American audiences like my accent as much as I like speaking in it."
