Dramas 'Culprits,' 'Nautilus' and 'Wedding Season' Land Series Orders at Disney+

Disney+ has today given series orders to three original drama series from the United Kingdom - Culprits, Nautilus and Wedding Season.

Based on the novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne, Nautilus centers on Captain Nemo, an Indian prince robbed of his birthright and family, a prisoner of the East India Company and a man bent on revenge against the forces which have taken everything from him. But once he sets sail with his ragtag crew onboard the awe-inspiring submarine, The Nautilus, he not only battles with his enemy, he also discovers a magical underwater world.

James Dormer developed the drama. He will executive produce with Xavier Marchand, Anand Tucker and Johanna Devereaux. Moonriver Television and Seven Stories produce.

The darkly comic series Culprits depicts what happens after a heist, when the crew have gone their separate ways, but are being targeted by a killer one-by-one.

Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Generation) will star in the series.

J Blakeson will write and direct the series. He will also executive produce with Stephen Garrett. Morenike Williams will serve as a producer.

Rom-com action-thriller Wedding Season follows two people who shouldn't be together, but who can't stay away from one another.

Rosa Salazar (Brand New Cherry Flavor, Undone) will star as Katie, a picture-perfect bride who we meet on her wedding day surrounded by the dead bodies of her new husband and every member of his family. The police think her lover Stefan did it. Stefan thinks Katie did it. Katie thinks her ex-husband did it. And no one knows for sure what the truth is.

Oliver Lyttelton created the drama, with George Kane set to direct. They will executive produce with Chris Carey, Laurence Bowen, Toby Bruce, Lilly Burns and Tony Hernandez. Dancing Ledge Productions and Jax Media will produce.
