Showtime Reveals Premiere Date for Season 6 of 'Billions'

A day after airing its fifth season finale, Showtime has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming sixth season of its original drama series Billions.

The 12-episode sixth season will premiere on Sunday, January 23 at 9/8c.

With Axe gone and Michael Prince assuming his place, Chuck must develop a new strategy that is keener and more sophisticated than before. All the players, from Wags to Wendy, from Taylor to Sacker, and of course Senior, must sharpen their weapons and look for new alliances in order to survive. The ground is ever shifting and the stakes absolute. New king, new war, new rules.

The drama stars Paul Giamatti, Maggie Siff, David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Asia Kate Dillon, Jeffrey DeMunn, Kelly AuCoin, Daniel Breaker and Corey Stoll.

The sixth season will be the first without original co-lead Damian Lewis. His character's story largely came to its conclusion in last night's season finale.

Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin created the drama.
