Casting News - October 29, 2021

AppleTV+'s City on Fire; The CW's Superman & Lois & Walker; and Netflix's Partner Track.

  • Jenna Dewan will reprise her Supergirl role on a recurring basis in the drama's upcoming second season. She appeared in 13 episodes of Supergirl's first season - when the show aired on CBS before transitioning to a CW original. She has also recurred on FOX's The Resident and is currently recurring on ABC's The Rookie.
  • She plays Lucy Lane, the sister of Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch).
  • Desmond Chiam and Tehmina Sunny have landed recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring Arden Cho. Chiam previously recurred on Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and will next be seen in Amazon's upcoming romantic comedy With Love. Sunny starred in the first season of The CW's Pandora and recurred on NBC's Chicago Med.
  • Chiam will play Zi-Xin "Z" Min, a handsome idealist with a strong sense of right and wrong. His steadfast commitment to the environment might seem overzealous to some, but to Z, integrity is everything. His priorities bring him head-to-head with Ingrid (Cho) as her client courts his family's energy company.
  • Sunny will play Victoria St. Clair, a British hotelier, who's as rich as she is glamorous. Sexy, sophisticated and shrewd, she is one of the law firm's biggest clients and is used to getting what she wants.
  • Lindsey Morgan will depart the main cast of the drama during its second season - which premiered just last night. She has played the female lead, Micki Ramirez, opposite Jared Padalecki since the pilot. Previously, she starred for six seasons in The CW's The 100. Morgan cites personal reasons for the departure, though she could return as a guest star in the future.
  • Morgan released the following statement on her exit: "After much thoughtful consideration and introspection, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from my role as Mick Ramirez on Walker for personal reasons, and I am eternally grateful to have the support of the producers, CBS Studios and The CW in allowing me to do so. The opportunity to play Micki has truly been a blessing as has working alongside the incredible cast and crew of this terrific series. Please know that I will continue to root for my TV family and wish them all the best."
  • Wyatt Oleff will play the male lead in the upcoming drama developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. He has appeared in the It and Guardians of the Galaxy film franchises. He also starred in Netflix's one-season comedy I Am Not Okay With This.
  • He will play Charlie, a friend of Samantha Cicciaro's who is struggling to cope with the death of his father on 9/11 two years earlier. After Samantha is shot, he stops at nothing to unravel the mystery of what happened.
