Peacock Sets Premiere Date for New Comedy 'MacGruber' Created by and Starring Will Forte

Peacock has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original comedy series MacGruber based on the parody sketch from NBC's Saturday Night Live and the subsequent 2010 feature film.






All 8 episodes of the first season will be available on Thursday, December 16.

After rotting in prison for over a decade, America's ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past - Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth. With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, Vicki St. Elmo and Dixon Piper, in order to defeat the forces of evil.

The comedy stars Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Zane, Joseph Lee Anderson and Timothy V. Murphy.

Forte co-created the comedy with John Solomon and Jorma Taccone. They executive produce with Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, John Goldwyn and Erin David. Universal Television and Broadway Video produce.
