CBS Renews 'CSI: Vegas' for Season 2

CBS has today renewed its original drama series CSI: Vegas for a second season. The drama will return during the broadcast network's upcoming 2022-23 schedule.

Original series stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox signed deals to reprise their CSI roles as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle, respectively, only for the initial 10-episode first season. Petersen has opted not to continue as an actor for the second season but will remain as an executive producer. Fox's potential involvement onscreen is still being negotiated.

In addition to Petersen and Fox, the drama's first season starred Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon and Mel Rodriguez.

Jason Tracey developed the drama. He executive produces with Petersen, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Anthony Zuiker, Carol Mandelsohn, Ann Donahue, Craig O'Neill and Cindy Chvatal. CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television produce.

"The incredibly talented CSI: Vegas creative team and cast did a superb job this first season, brilliantly updating and portraying the CSI universe with fresh stories and a new crime lab, proving that after 20 years, the CSI fan base is still hungry for more and ready to embrace a new chapter in this illustrious franchise," said Amy Reisenbach, Executive Vice President of Current Programs, CBS.
