Casting News - Sharon Stone to Play Cassie's Mother in Season 2 of HBO Max's 'The Flight Attendant'; Plus 3 More Updates!

AppleTV+'s Bad Monkey; FX's The Patient; HBO Max's The Flight Attendant; and Syfy's Reginald the Vampire.

  • Sharon Stone has been cast in a recurring role on the dramedy's upcoming second season. She was nominated for an Academy Award in 1996 for her performance in the film Casino. She also won an Emmy Award in 2004 for her recurring role on ABC's The Practice. More recently, she starred in the HBO limited series Mosaic and in the first season of Netflix's Ratched.
  • She will play Lisa Bowden, Cassie's (Kaley Cuoco) estranged mother who would prefer to stay estranged. After a lifetime of dealing with Cassie's alcoholism, she no longer has any patience or good will to spare.
  • Ana Villafañe, Rob Delaney, Ahmed Elhaj and Arturo Luis Soria will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Vince Vaughn. Villafañe previously recurred on NBC's New Amsterdam and Paramount+'s Younger. Delaney co-created and starred in Amazon's Catastrophe, which ran for four seasons. Elhaj recurs on Starz's upcoming drama Dangerous Liaisons. Soria recurred on Netflix's Insatiable.
  • Villafañe will play Rosa, a Miami medical examiner who is starting to realize she may not be cut out for her job. So she is happy to ditch work and help Yancy (Vaughn) try to figure out the story of the severed arm he brings into her lab.
  • Delaney will play Christopher, the mysterious boyfriend of Eve (Meredith Hagner), whose husband died under suspicious circumstances. 
  • Elhaj will play Neville, a young, mild-mannered Bahamian fisherman who is forced into action when a mysterious businessman bulldozes his family home to start construction on a swanky resort.
  • Soria will play Rogelio, a good Key West police detective who comes to his best friend and ex-partner, Andrew Yancy, with a life-changing assignment. It further complicates things that Rogelio's husband is also Yancy's attorney.
  • Mandela Van Peebles and Em Haine are set as series regulars on the upcoming drama starring Jacob Batalon. Furthermore, Aren Buchholz, Savannah Basley, Marguerite Hanna and Georgia Waters have been added as recurring guest stars. Van Peebles recently recurred on Paramount+'s Mayor of Kingstown. Haine has recurred on Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Disney+'s The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. Buchholz starred for three seasons in Hallmark's When Calls the Heart. Basley starred in Syfy's one-season drama SurrealEstate. Hanna is a relative newcomer. Waters recurred on Freeform's Siren.
  • Van Peebles will play Maurice Miller, who finds himself in the least expected circumstance, vampire life coach for Reginald (Batalon), which is complicated.
  • Haine will play Sarah Kinney, Reginald's human co-worker at the Slushy Shack. She is smart, funny and learning how to fight for the dreams that are important to her.
  • Buchholz will play Todd, Reginald's manager at the Slushy Shack.
  • Basley will play Angela, an ancient vampire of great power.
  • Hanna will play Ashley, a co-worker at the Slushy Shack and a lover of conspiracy theories and urban legends with a deadpan sense of humor.
  • Waters will play Penelope, a dangerous and beautiful vampire.
  • Domhnall Gleeson, Linda Emond, Laura Niemi and Andrew Leeds have joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Steve Carell. Gleeson stars in the Star Wars and Peter Rabbit film franchises. Emond previously starred for two seasons in AMC's Lodge 49. Niemi has recurred on NBC's This Is Us. Leeds starred in the second season of NBC's Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.
  • In the series, a psychotherapist (Carell) finds himself held prisoner by a serial killer (Gleeson) with an unusual request: curb his homicidal urges. But unwinding the mind of this man while also dealing with the waves of his own repressed troubles creates a journey perhaps as treacherous as his captivity.
  • No details were immediately released about the characters Emond, Niemi and Leeds will be playing.
