FX's Fleishman Is In Trouble; Hulu's Washington Black; and Showtime's Let the Right One In.

SHOWTIME's LET THE RIGHT ONE IN
  • Nick Stahl has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming drama starring Demián Bichir and Madison Taylor Baez. He previously starred for two seasons in HBO's Carnivàle and recently recurred on AMC's Fear the Walking Dead.
  • He will play Matthew, a former soldier and fiercely loyal fixer for the Logan family, whose clean-cut, mild-mannered exterior belies a savagery beneath.
HULU's WASHINGTON BLACK
  • Eddie Karanja, Edward Bluemel and Sharon Duncan-Brewster have joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Sterling K. Brown. Karanja starred in the Sky comedy Jack and the Beanstalk: After Ever After. Bluemel currently stars in Sky Max's A Discovery of Witches, which is now airing its third and final season. Duncan-Brewster has recurred on HBO's Years and Years and Netflix's Sex Education.
  • Karanja will play Young Wash, a gentle-eyed, 11-year-old boy with a dreamer's heart. Born on the Barbados sugar plantation, a shocking death forces him to flee by taking to the skies - sending him on a path to become a globe-trotting artist, scientist and inventor... if he can survive the heartache lurking ahead and the hunter pursuing behind.
  • Bluemel will play William "Billy" McGee, a wealthy British businessman who relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1837. For reasons that'll become clear, he has eschewed local women and accepted an offer to marry Tanna Goff (Iola Evans) from London, a woman with a secret that forced her to relocate to Canada. His pursuit of Goff puts him in a love triangle that pits him against Washington Black (Ernest Kingsley Jr.), a state of affairs that threatens to plunge all three of them into danger.
  • Duncan-Brewster will play Miss Angie, a woman from Trinidad who has traveled to Nova Scotia to find the freedom to build something of her own. And she has - the store that bears her name, a community institution, and her own agency as the backbone of her community. But the question is whether she can make that power work within herself and rebuild her heart.
FX's FLEISHMAN IS IN TROUBLE
  • Claire Danes will star opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Lizzy Caplan in the upcoming limited series created by Taffy Brodesser-Akner. She previously starred for eight seasons in Showtime's Homeland, winning Emmy Awards in 2012 and 2013 for her lead performance. She won another Emmy Award in 2010 for her lead performance in the HBO film Temple Grandin. She next stars in AppleTV+'s upcoming drama The Essex Serpent
  • She will play Rachel, Toby's (Eisenberg) ex-wife, a very successful and ambitious talent agent whose put-together exterior conceals past trauma. While she initially enjoys her freedom after leaving Toby, she ultimately struggles with her new identity.
