Casting News - February 14, 2022

Disney+'s Culprits and Starz's P-Valley.

  • Morocco Omari, Dominic DeVore and Jordan M. Cox have been promoted to series regulars for the drama's upcoming second season. All three recurred during the first season - with Omari appearing in all eight episodes while DeVore and Cox each appeared in three. Omari previously starred in the third season of FOX's Empire. DeVore directed and starred in the short film Tin Foil. Cox guest starred on FOX's The Gifted and HBO's The Outsider.
  • Omari plays Big L, Uncle Clifford's (Nicco Annan) mean, teddy bear-looking right hand who guards the safe and knows where all the bodies are buried - figuratively and literally. With the club under new ownership and new duress, Big L continues to carve out his own sphere of influence.
  • Devore plays Duffy, the friendly neighborhood plug who moves weight across the country in his big rig. A true romantic with a heart of gold and a wandering eye, he might be ready to settle down for good, but that's much easier said than done.
  • Cox plays Derrick, the abusive boyfriend and baby daddy to Pynk headliner Keyshawn, aka Miss Mississippi (Shannon Thornton). In the wake of the disastrous Murda Night, he struggles to change for the better.
  • Gemma Arterton, Eddie Izzard, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Niamh Algar, Kamel El Basha, Tara Abboud, Ned Dennehy and Kevin Vidal have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Nathan Stewart-Jarrett.
  • Arterton previously starred in the BBC One limited series Black Narcissus. Izzard recently starred in Peacock's one-season drama The Lost Symbol. Howell-Baptiste starred in the first seasons of BBC America's Killing Eve and Paramount+'s Why Women Kill. Algar currently stars in HBO Max's Raised by Wolves, which is now airing its second season. El Basha starred in the 2017 film The Insult. Abboud starred in the 2021 film Amira. Dennehy starred in the first season of Amazon's Good Omens. Vidal recurs on the Canadian comedy Workin' Moms.
  • No details were immediately announced about the characters they will be playing.
