Casting News - Betty Gilpin to Star in 'Mrs. Davis'; Carter Hudson and Amy Forsyth Join 'Dear Edward'; Plus 2 More Updates!

AppleTV+'s Dear Edward; FX's Fleishman Is In Trouble; Netflix's Wednesday; and Peacock's Mrs. Davis.

  • Amy Forsyth, Carter Hudson, Idris DeBrand, Ivan Shaw, Jenna Qureshi, Anna Uzele, Dario Ladani Sanchez, Eva Ariel Binder, Brittany S. Hall, Maxwell Jenkins and Audrey Corsa have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Connie Britton, Taylor Schilling and Colin O'Brien.
  • Forsyth (CODA, The Gilded Age) will play Linda. After her boyfriend dies tragically in the plane crash, she is left pregnant with a part time job as a hostess and no support system.
  • Hudson (Snowfall) will play John, Lacey's (Schilling) husband and Edward's (O'Brien) uncle. Edward comes to live with them after the crash.
  • DeBrand (MotherFatherSon, Informer) will play Kojo. Charismatic, funny and an open-hearted entrepreneur, he must leave his beloved home country of Ghana to care for his niece, Becks, after his sister perishes in the crash.
  • Shaw (The Cleaning Lady, Insecure) will play Steve. Always the golden child, he reevaluates his priorities when his estranged brother perishes in the crash.
  • Qureshi (Just Add Magic: Mystery City) will play Mahira, Jordan's secret girlfriend who develops a close relationship with Edward after the crash.
  • Uzele (Broadway's Six) will play Adriana, a whip-smart activist who is just starting her career and reevaluates her professional life after she loses her grandmother, the second-ever Black congresswoman.
  • Sanchez (Paper Trail) will play Sam, an up-and-coming graphic designer with a beautiful wife and young daughter. He is shaken by the sudden loss of his high school best friend in the crash.
  • Binder (Grey's Anatomy, Stillwater) will play Shay, Edward's friend and lifeline after he moves in next door following the crash.
  • Hall (Ballers, David Makes Man) will play Amanda, a piano tuner and aspiring artist who is grieving the loss of her fiancĂ© who died in the crash.
  • Jenkins (Lost in Space, Reacher) will play Jordan, Edward's older brother who lives somewhat in the shadows of his very intelligent younger brother.
  • Corsa (All Rise, Tell Me a Story) will play Zoe, Dee Dee's (Britton) daughter. After her father dies in the crash, she must grapple with having to deal much more with Dee Dee, with whom she has an extremely strained relationship.
  • Betty Gilpin has been cast in the lead role on the upcoming drama created by Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof. She previously starred for two seasons in Showtime's Nurse Jackie and three seasons in Netflix's GLOW, which resulted in three Emmy Award nominations for her supporting performance. She will next star in AppleTV+'s upcoming anthology Roar, Starz's upcoming limited series Gaslit and Showtime's upcoming drama Three Women.
  • She will play a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence.
  • Michael Gaston has booked a recurring role on the upcoming limited series starring Jesse Eisenberg, Lizzy Caplan and Claire Danes. He previously starred for one season in HBO's The Leftovers, one season in Amazon's The Man in the High Castle and two seasons in CBS All Access' Strange Angel. He will next star in AppleTV+'s upcoming limited series Five Days at Memorial.
  • He will play Dr. Bartuck, Toby's (Eisenberg) imposing boss at the hospital who is all handshakes and fundraising winks.
  • Christina Ricci has landed a major role on the upcoming drama starring Jenna Ortega. She returns to the iconic franchise after previously playing Wednesday Addams in 1991's The Addams Family and 1993's Addams Family Values. She currently stars in Showtime's Yellowjackets, which has been renewed for a second season.
  • She will play a new character and not an older version of Wednesday. All additional details are being kept under wraps.
