HBO and BBC One to Co-Produce Half-Hour Drama 'Rain Dogs' Starring Daisy May Cooper

HBO and BBC One will co-produce the original half-hour drama series Rain Dogs starring Daisy May Cooper (This Country, Avenue 5). Production has begun on the 8-episode season in Bristol, UK.

The series is a wild and punky tale of a mother's love for her daughter, of deep-rooted and passionate friendships, and of brilliance thwarted by poverty and prejudice. Told with a dark lick of humor and an anarchic attitude, the series will follow four glorious Rain Dogs; a makeshift swaggerous family fed on defiance and chaos, and a deep but complicated love.

In addition to Cooper, the comedy will star Jack Farthing, Ronke Adékoluejo and Fleur Tashjian.

Cash Carraway created the series. She will executive produce with Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Jo McClellan and directors Richard Laxton and Jennifer Perrott. Sid Gentle Films Ltd will produce.
