Development News - Robert Bailey Jr. Set as Series Regular on 'The Son in Law'; Mark-Paul Gosselaar to Co-Star on 'Found'

Development News - April 29, 2022

ABC's The Son in Law and NBC's Found.

ABC's THE SON IN LAW
  • Robert Bailey Jr. is set as a series regular on the comedy pilot starring Chris Sullivan and Reema Sampat. He previously starred for four seasons in NBC's The Night Shift and in ABC's one-season drama Emergence.
  • He will play Benjamin Green, an EMT and a thoroughly nice guy. He's deeply in love with Jake's (Sullivan) daughter Charlie (Evangeline Young), but he craves Jake's approval and understandably is nervous about the way Jake will react to Charlie's pregnancy and her plans to drop the idea of law school. Although Jake isn't happy about the situation, he soon realizes that Benjamin's intentions are honorable and sincere, though he's not happy about becoming a grandpa when he's getting ready to marry the much-younger Asha (Sampat).
NBC's FOUND
  • Mark-Paul Gosselaar will co-star on the drama pilot starring Shanola Hampton. He previously starred for four seasons in NBC's Saved by the Bell, four seasons in ABC's NYPD Blue, four seasons in TNT's Franklin & Bash and two seasons in ABC's Mixed-ish.
  • He will play Sir, a controversial figure from Gabi's (Hampton) past.
