Season 2 of 'Hacks' Receives Premiere Date on HBO Max

HBO Max has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original comedy series Hacks.







The 8-episode second season will debut on Thursday, May 12 with its first two episodes. The season will continue to release two episodes weekly each Thursday until the season finale on June 2.

The dark mentorship between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance and her young, entitled writer Ava continues to evolve as the two travel across the country workshopping Deborah's new stand-up act.

The comedy stars Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder and Carl Clemons-Hopkins.

Returning guest stars include Jane Adams, Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki and Lorenza Izzo.

New guest stars include Laurie Metcalf, Martha Kelly, Ming-Na Wen, Susie Essman, Margaret Cho and Devon Sawa.

Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky created the comedy. They executive produce with Michael Schur, David Miner and Morgan Sackett. Universal Television, Paulilu Productions and First Thought Productions produce.
