Netflix Announces Premiere Date for Season 5 of 'Cobra Kai'

During tonight's events for Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival, Netflix announced the premiere date for the upcoming fifth season of its original action comedy series Cobra Kai.

All 10 episodes of the fifth season will be available on Friday, September 9.

Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, the new season finds Terry Silver expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his "No Mercy" style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he's caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.

The comedy stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo MaridueƱa, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Vanessa Rubio, Peyton List, Martin Kove, Dallas Dupree Young, Oona O'Brien, Griffin Santopietro and Thomas Ian Griffith.

Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg created the comedy. They executive produce with Macchio, Zabka, Will Smith, James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett and Susan Ekins. Sony Pictures Television, Counterbalance Entertainment and Westbrook Entertainment produce.
