AppleTV+ Sets Premiere Dates for Limited Series 'Five Days at Memorial' and Comedy 'Bad Sisters'

AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere dates for its upcoming original limited series Five Days at Memorial starring Vera Farmiga and its upcoming original comedy series Bad Sisters starring Sharon Horgan.

The 8-episode limited series Five Days at Memorial will debut on Friday, August 12 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly until its season finale on September 16.

Based on actual events and adapted from the book by Sheri Fink, the series chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a local hospital. When the floodwaters rose, power failed, and heat soared, exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come.

In addition to Farmiga, the series stars Robert Pine, Cherry Jones, Julie Ann Emery, Cornelius Smith Jr., Adepero Oduye, Molly Hager, Michael Gaston and W. Earl Brown.

John Ridley and Carlton Cuse developed the series and executive produce. Fink serves as a producer. ABC Signature produces.

The 10-episode first season of dark comedy Bad Sisters will launch on Friday, August 19 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly until the season finale on October 14.

Set in the breath-taking coast of Ireland, the lives of the Garvey sisters are bound together by the premature death of their parents and a promise to always protect one another.

In addition to Horgan, the comedy stars Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, Eve Hewson, Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab and Saise Quinn.

Horgan co-created the comedy with Brett Baer and Dave Finkel. They executive produce with Malin-Sarah Gozin, Faye Dorn, Clelia Mountford, Bert Hamelinck, Michael Sagol and director Dearbhla Walsh. ABC Signature and Merman Television produce.
