Hulu Sets Premiere Date for Limited Series 'Mike' Starring Trevante Rhodes

Hulu has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original limited series Mike starring Trevante Rhodes as boxer Mike Tyson.







The 8-episode limited series will launch on Thursday, August 25.

The series explores the tumultuous ups and downs of Tyson's boxing career and personal life - from being a beloved global athlete to a pariah and back again. Focusing the lens on Mike Tyson, the series examines class in America, race in America, fame and the power of media, misogyny, the wealth divide, the promise of the American Dream and ultimately our own role in shaping Mike's story.

In addition to Rhodes, the limited series stars Russell Hornsby, Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier and Li Eubanks.

Steven Rogers created the series, with Karin Gist serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Rhodes, Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Claire Brown, Bryan Unkeless, Scott Morgan, Darin Friedman, Anthony Hemingway, Anthony Sparks, Samantha Corbin-Miller and director Craig Gillespie. 20th Television, The Gist of It Productions, Clubhouse Pictures, LuckyChap Entertainment and Entertainment 360 produce.
