Casting News - 'The Morning Show' Adds Jon Hamm for Season 3; Lauren Ash to Co-Star on 'Not Dead Yet'; Plus 5 More Updates!

ABC's Not Dead Yet; AMC's Invitation to a Bonfire; AppleTV+'s The Morning Show; Disney+'s Ironheart; Freevee's Bosch: Legacy; and Hulu's Black Cake & Untitled Ellen Pompeo Series.




APPLE TV+'s THE MORNING SHOW
  • Jon Hamm has been cast as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming third season. He previously starred for seven seasons in AMC's Mad Men, winning an Emmy Award for his lead performance in 2015. He recently starred in the film Top Gun: Maverick and will next star in the upcoming fifth installment of FX's Fargo.
  • He will play Paul Marks, a corporate titan who sets his sights on UBA, pulling Cory (Billy Crudup), Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) into his powerful orbit.
HULU's BLACK CAKE
  • Glynn Turman and Sonita Henry have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Adrienne Warren, Mia Isaac and Ashley Thomas. Turman previously recurred on the fourth season of FX's Fargo and starred in the ABC limited series Women of the Movement. Henry recurred on Netflix's Lucifer, Syfy's Krypton and Amazon's Absentia
  • Turman will play Charles Mitch, a successful lawyer in Newport Beach, California whose top priority is to honor the final wishes of his dear friend and client Eleanor Bennett after she loses her battle to cancer. As he works with Eleanor's family to complete her requests, he is persistent to keep the family together while simultaneously working through his own private grief.
  • Henry will recur as Mabel Martin, a well-renowned food expert, who enjoys a successful and quiet life with her son and her beloved parents. When her world is upended by a shattering revelation, she'll be forced to question everything she has believed about her family, sending her down a path that ultimately cracks open the pandora's box of her own secrets.
FREEVEE's BOSCH: LEGACY
  • Max Martini has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He previously starred for four seasons in CBS' The Unit and in the second season of USA's The Purge. He also starred in the Fifty Shades film franchise.
  • He will play Detective Don Ellis, a hardened vice cop in the LAPD. Intelligent and fierce, he's not above getting down and dirty with the criminals he polices to get the job done.
ABC's NOT DEAD YET
  • Lauren Ash will co-star on the upcoming comedy starring Gina Rodriguez and Hannah Simone. She previously starred for six seasons in NBC's Superstore and five seasons in Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
  • She will play Lexi, the daughter of a wealthy newspaper owner and recently appointed editor. She was raised in a rarefied world of boarding schools and private planes and is comedically out of touch with how normal people live. A former almost-Olympian horse jumper, Lexi exudes extreme confidence. But the truth is she's in way over her head and if the newspaper fails, she'll never win her father's approval - something she desperately wants.
AMC's INVITATION TO A BONFIRE
  • Tatiana Maslany will star in and executive produce the upcoming drama starring Freya Mavor and Pilou Asbæk. She previously starred for five seasons in BBC America's Orphan Black (winning an Emmy Award in 2016 for her lead performance) and in the first season of HBO's Perry Mason. She next stars in Disney+'s upcoming comedy She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which premieres on August 18.
  • She will play Vera Orlov, who is more than Leo's (Asbæk); she's his editor - and his everything.
DISNEY+'s IRONHEART
  • Zoe Terakes has been added to the cast of the upcoming drama starring Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos and Alden Ehrenreich. They previously recurred on Fox Showcase's Wentworth and starred in the Hulu limited series Nine Perfect Strangers.
  • No details were immediately announced about the character they will be playing. 
HULU's UNTITLED ELLEN POMPEO SERIES
  • Imogen Reid is set as a series regular on the upcoming limited series starring Ellen Pompeo. She trained at the Miskin Theatre at UK's North Kent College.
  • She will play a young girl with a rare form of dwarfism adopted by a Midwestern couple.
